Hello and welcome!

I’m Meagan (she/her), a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM, LM) based in Smithfield, Virginia. My passion is providing accessible, safe, and high-quality prenatal care and home birth services to families throughout our community.

My journey in birth work began in 2018, when I became a DONA International Certified Doula and founded Beltane Birth Services, LLC. What started as a small business grew into a thriving doula practice offering birth and postpartum doula care, childbirth education, and placenta encapsulation. In January 2020, I followed my calling to midwifery and began training as a Student Midwife. I graduated with honors from the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery program at the Midwives College of Utah in 2024 and soon after I opened my midwifery practice - Beltane Midwifery, PLLC. I am honored to now serve families across Isle of Wight County, the greater Tidewater area, the Tri-Cities region, and Southeastern Virginia.

Beyond my professional role, I am a mother of four incredible children. With each of their births, and my experiences navigating the U.S. maternity care system, my commitment to birth work deepened. I’ve walked through smooth pregnancies as well as unexpected challenges and emergencies, and these experiences help shape the empathy, respect, and understanding I bring to the families I care for.

It is truly a privilege to support families as they prepare to welcome their babies into the world. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey.
