Hello and welcome!

My name is Meagan (she/her) and I am a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM) located in Smithfield, Virginia. My goal is to bring more accessible, safe, and quality prenatal and birthing options to families seeking alternatives to hospital-based obstetrical care.

I practice with the belief that each person is the expert in their selves and I trust the intuitive knowledge we have regarding our bodies and our babies. My goal is to provide knowledge, guidance, and support for pregnant people and their families as they navigate their choices for pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond so that they feel empowered as individuals and as new parents.

I started as a birth professional in 2018 when I became a Certified DONA International doula and started Beltane Birth Services, LLC which became a thriving small business where I offered birth and postpartum doula services, childbirth education, and placenta encapsulation services. In January of 2020 I began my journey as a Student Midwife and graduated with honors from the Bachelors of Science in Midwifery program through the Midwives College of Utah in 2024.

I feel truly blessed and honored to be on this path.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story.
